Introducing a recent creative collaboration with Kuki + Ania, a new boutique private chef agency delivering custom dining experiences in remote destinations like Joshua Tree, Vashon Island, and Lake Tahoe.
Chef V came to me with a clear vision: intimate, artful gatherings that blend heritage, storytelling, and taste. Together, we shaped the Kuki + Ania brand from the ground up, developing a visual identity inspired by artifacts from her home and ancestral cultures (Māori and Papua New Guinea). The name itself honors her roots: Kuki (the noun for “Cook” in Māori) and Ania (to “eat” in Motu).
I led the creative, from brand identity and iconography to photography, video, and art direction. We modernized graphic elements found in carvings from her home, capturing the textures and energy of her events. From the color-rich plates, layered tablescapes, and intimate magic of a custom, chef-led dinner party. The final rollout included a new website and organic and paid social media campaigns designed to reflect the warmth and elegance of the Kuki + Ania experience. A dream project rooted in culture, community, and hospitality.
